Since starting in late 1993 CQ-PAN has accomplished the following Provided Internet e-mail and Usenet news to over 400 students and staff from 8 local schools. Provided a simple menu based system that is used to access the Internet by over 200 CQU students and a number of local users. Started providing SLIP access to the general Central Queensland community as part of a trial that ends on May 12. Plans for 1995 include Continuation of community access and the development of a large Central Queensland community on the Internet. Providing a Web server that CQ community groups can place their own information onto the Internet. In conjunction with the Priority Country Area Program provide Internet e-mail and Usenet news to primary school students studying in outback Central Queensland.
